Satisfaction Comments

zero environment never ask clients to rate the service, or complete a 'short survey'. We never advertise, instead rely on recommendation and repeat business.

Unlike larger companies where junior staff are employed widely across a whole range of disciplines, Roger Braithwaite, founder and principal of zero environment undertakes 100% of the consultancy and expert witness work himself guaranteeing continuity and confidence throughout.

Here are a few comments from a handful of past clients (and others) who have kindly volunteered their views. Please note none of these are recent as we stopped recording comments several years ago.

In relation to the Corby Group Litigation v Corby Borough Council

"He [Roger Braithwaite] was a down to earth but relatively outspoken person who spoke as he thought.

He obviously had great experience over the 1980s and 90s in how local authorities should manage and deal with waste and contaminated material. He was obviously appalled at the way in which CBC conducted itself; that feeling clearly manifested itself in the way in which he gave evidence. As is clear from this judgement, he was right to be appalled".

Rt Hon Mr Justice Akenhead - at the High Court of Justice

"Roger has one of the finest minds in environmental health and has admirably represented our profession throughout his career. He has trained many of the country's contaminated land professionals, and acted for dozens of leading companies.

His work on the Corby case has provided national exposure to the work of the Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner."

Dr Stephen Battersby President of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

The London Borough of Enfield, Royal Small Arms Factory Review Panel, was set up to hold an arms length inquiry into risks and irregularities after a BBC Panorama special on contaminated land highlighted an array of potential problems associated with contamination at this complex Ministry of Defence site. Over 1,300 domestic properties were being built when I was appointed as sole technical advisor to the Council, with the task of reviewing a series of consultants reports carried out over ten years. The Panel heard evidence from several expert witnesses including the Head of Land Quality at the Environment Agency and a team of leading environmental consultants.

Quote from Vivien Giladi (Chair of the Review Panel):

"The Panel adopts in its entirety the report of Roger Braithwaite shown in Annexe B. It found the advice, report and presentation to be clear, comprehensive, compelling and authoritative."
